I fell in love with the great outdoors and spent almost every waking hour finding a new trail to hike or taking off to go camping on the weekend. A few years ago, I got the opportunity to go hike Muir Woods and Yosemite National Park in California and experience some of the largest trees I had ever seen.
I have loved the scent of cedars since I was small, and my mother had an old cedar chest, and I would open its lid to simply smell it, and it seemed to never lose its scent.
Along my journey of hiking all over the country, and hiking hundreds of miles on trails, I began to listen to the Scriptures on Audio and then one day I gave my life to Christ and asked him to teach me how to walk with Him for I didn't know His Way.
Years passed and He was right there, through every trial, fire, and my solace and comfort was found in Christ on these long hiking trails, knowing He was with me and never left me.
I fell in love with Songs of Solomon for this whole book is about the Love between the Shulamite and her Beloved. The Shulamite is the Bride of Christ, and the Beloved is Christ, the Bridegroom. It's a love story, of a King seeking a Bride, a queen to rule and reign with Him. One day he showed me I was bought, sealed and betrothed to Himself, who had all authority, and he was the Husband at my right hand. He gave me His armor to wear and asked that I stand in that armor and I only needed to be still and He would come and fight for me. Love for Him wells up within me and this romantic love story is now mine to grasp onto as well.
One day I was asking Him about starting this Soap Company and what he thought about a name for it. Would he bless it? Was this ok? He answered me concerning the name and showed me that my precious Cedar trees are also a reference to Christ in the Scriptures.
Surely, He has etched himself into every aspect of Creation for it is written:
"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse " Romans 1:20
I chose the name the Shulamite's Majestic Cedar Soap Company, to convey imagery between the Bride of Christ and the Majesty, Strength, Endurance, Everlasting Nature, Protection, and Beauty of Christ, who is my Beloved. For I was lost and He found me, strengthened me, protected me, taught me, and caused me to withstand every fire, whirlwind, flood, and drought just like a Cedar tree does. Now my children and I enjoy the blessings of finding shelter beneath This Majestic Cedar.
